We are seeking to establish a pool of Early Childhood Education (ECE) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Located between Esperance and Ravensthorpe, Munglinup Primary School (PS) is part of both the Mallee Schools Network and Esperance Network, providing strong collegial connections and rich opportunities for collaboration.

We embrace a balanced early years pedagogy, blending play-based learning, inquiry and explicit instruction, aligned to the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard. With a deep commitment to knowing every child, we create a nurturing and inclusive environment where each learner is supported to thrive.

Our small size is our strength. In 2026, Munglinup PS will operate two multi-age classes: Kindergarten to Year 1 and Year 4/5. We work collaboratively and flexibly, making tailored decisions to meet each student’s needs. Staff enjoy the opportunity to lead, innovate, and shape whole-school practices. Every team member plays a vital role and every success is shared and celebrated.

Living and working in Munglinup offers more than a role - it is a lifestyle. With the stunning Munglinup Beach lagoon nearby and strong community ties, staff enjoy a peaceful natural environment and a slower pace of life, while still contributing to innovative, quality teaching and learning.

Find out more about our school by visiting www.munglinupprimaryschool.wa.edu.au or Schools Online.

The Role

Munglinup PS is seeking passionate and dedicated ECE teachers to join our small, community-oriented school in a multi-age Kindergarten/Pre-primary setting commencing in Term 1, 2026.

This is a unique opportunity to live and work in a close-knit rural community, where your work has a direct and lasting impact on students and families. Our  ECE teachers participate in one ECE network collaboration day per term and a range of combined events, which supports student socialisation, staff professional growth and shared resourcing.

Suitable applicants should ideally have strong organisational skills and effective planning, along with a deep understanding of high-impact teaching strategies for the early years. Knowledge of, or experience with, the Kindergarten Assessment Tool, Heggerty, Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS), Talk for Writing, Sounds-Write and Brightpath is preferred, though not essential. Suitable applicants should be able to communicate clearly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues, contribute positively to the school culture, and engage meaningfully with the community. A proactive, flexible, and collaborative mindset is highly valued.

Staff at Munglinup PS benefit from ongoing mentoring and instructional coaching tailored to individual needs, access to professional learning and regional collaboration through network days and combined school events. The school fosters a community culture that values teamwork, transparency and high expectations, with additional collaborative Duties other than teaching (DOTT) time to support these values.

With the stunning Munglinup Beach lagoon nearby and strong community ties, staff enjoy a peaceful natural environment and a slower pace of life, while still contributing to innovative, quality teaching and learning. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, high-performing rural team where your contribution will be valued and your growth supported. We welcome applications from both early career and experienced educators who are ready to make a difference and embrace the rewards of working in a unique rural school.
