We are seeking to establish a pool of Vocational Education and Training and Workplace Learning Support Officer’s for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Darling Range Sports College is a highly successful comprehensive Independent Public School with a student population of around 1,100 and over 120 teaching and support staff. Darling Range Sports College first opened in 1975 as Forrestfield Senior High School and later transitioned to a sports college in 2008. The Role
The suitable applicants will assist in the coordination the operations of the Vocational programs and Workplace Learning whilst assisting in developing and introducing systems and strategies which provide a responsive and effective support service in relation to the College’s Vocational and Workplace Learning Programs. The suitable applicants assist in the selection and induction of students in the Vocational and Workplace Learning programs, and the induction and training of workplace supervisors whilst identifying pathways for employment or activities other than employment according to students’ skills and abilities.
The suitable applicants will source Vocational education and training (VET) programs and tailored individual programs in conjunction with the VET Coordinator whilst locating appropriate industry placements/activity providers for students and conduct site checks and meetings with prospective employers and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). The suitable applicants will visit and monitor students on work placement in alignment with the Department’s Workplace Learning for Public Schools Procedures, including checking student logbooks for satisfactory completion and working hours whilst liaising with key stakeholders including school personnel, RTOs, industry, parents and students on attendance/behavioural issues and refers to Program Coordinator – Performance and Engagement.
