The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Network Administrator to join our College to provide support and hands on technical expertise across the management of our Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, networks and applications. As a Network Administrator, you would be responsible for managing and maintaining the site’s network infrastructure, overseeing risk management including data security, system backups and disaster recovery protocols, as well as contributing to system enhancements by researching and identifying appropriate IT resources.
The successful applicant should ideally have knowledge of hardware, software and other information technology resources. This includes an ability to configure and implement hardware, FortiGate firewalls, Windows servers and ability to improve the cyber security footprint of the College network. Relevant experience with the Departments’ Standard Operating Environment (SOE) would be an advantage.
Liaising with internal teams and external suppliers, you would facilitate the effective resolution of network administration challenges, proactively maintain a reliable and secure IT environment and lead the management and renewal plans for all IT related assets and resources. In addition, the Network Administrator provides advice to staff on technical issues associated with the network system and provides technical support and training to all users, including Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). You should have the ability to work with staff in building their capacity to use technologies and be able to provide a high level of technical support to staff and students to ensure positive outcomes.
Your ability to apply conceptual and analytical thought processes and develop innovative solutions, along with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to show initiative and work autonomously, would be advantageous for your success.
