This is a permanent part-time (0.38FTE) position commencing Term 4, 2025

Cooloongup Primary School (PS) is located away from main roads in a quiet area in the City of Rockingham. Our unique location and grounds provide outdoor play spaces which are safe and inclusive whilst encouraging student exploration in both structured and free play-based learning activities. Students participate in a wide range of sporting activities, both in school and at Inter-school competitions, each term.

The Role

The Cleaner, under the general supervision of the Cleaner in Charge/Senior Cleaner in Charge, is responsible for a range of internal and external cleaning duties. This includes maintaining carpets and hard floor surfaces, cleaning toilets, furniture, fittings, and windows, as well as handling tasks like dusting and rubbish removal. Vacation cleaning duties involve activities such as stripping and sealing vinyl floors, shampooing carpets, and pressure cleaning verandas.

The Cleaner is also responsible for reporting faults, maintenance issues, and incidents to the designated supervisor while ensuring that schools are cleaned and maintained in compliance with Department and occupational safety standards.
