The Role

Comet Bay College is seeking to appoint a highly motivated pedagogical leader for the role of Instructional Coach. The successful applicant will ideally have a pivotal role in supporting staff professional development and learning, with a focus on building teacher capacity to effectively utilise the College Instructional Framework. 

This position, which entails a 0.4 face-to-face teaching load, is ideally suited for an accomplished teacher aspiring to develop leadership skills. The successful applicant will ideally have access to professional learning and mentoring from the executive team as well as the opportunity to work across the College with staff from all learning areas.

We are committed to excellence in teaching and learning and are seeking a like-minded teacher with a sound understanding of effective instructional coaching principles. The successful applicant will ideally have experience in high impact instruction and a desire to build collective efficacy in the teaching team to successfully support professional growth and improvement of educational outcomes for all students

A strong interest and experience in lesson observation and feedback cycles will be highly valued, alongside the ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes for both high and low achieving students.

To be suitable for this role, the applicant should be student and relationship focused, highly motivated, innovative and able to work effectively in a team environment. They will display strong interpersonal skills and a high level of emotional intelligence.
