We are seeking to establish a pool of Student Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The school commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and presently has Year 7, 8 and 9 cohorts. Each year the school adds to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028.

The Role

We are ideally looking for applicants who models excellence in teaching, evidence based planning and effective practice to support students’ wellbeing, engagement and achievement needs. They should set high standards whilst building a culture of high expectations. In alignment with the Multi-Tiered System of Support, suitable applicants would consider students’ needs holistically and provide interconnected interventions in response to these needs. You will ideally have high level knowledge of school, department policy and process as well as excellent record keeping skills. 

Suitable applicants will ideally be able to reflect and assess the effectiveness of practice, by analysing whole school data. They should promote an environment of active and deep learning, whilst providing educational opportunities and wellbeing activities which enable students to achieve their highest potential. Using their effective interpersonal skills, suitable applicants will work closely with students, colleagues and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students. Flexibility and adaptability are important attributes that required in a foundation school. This role will include a teaching component.
