This is a Senior Executive Service (SES) role with an attractive remuneration package for a fixed term appointment up to five (5) years, with possible extension(s).

About the role 
We are seeking a strategic leader to take on the role of General Manager Location Services.
Location Services provides trusted location data and spatial services to support the management and development of Western Australia to benefit the community. 
As the General Manager you will provide vision and leadership for the strategic direction and operational delivery of Location Services to meet current and future customer needs. By actively building a high performing team and championing a culture of respect, teamwork and transparency you will motivate and empower your team to achieve outcomes whilst providing an environment where your people can thrive.
As a key member of the Corporate Executive, you will contribute to the effective leadership of Landgate, by shaping and executing strategies to meet government and agency priorities and being accountable to the Chief Executive Officer, Landgate Board of Management and Minister for Planning and Lands.  
General Managers at Landgate have a leadership context of Executive Leader. Leadership in this context is about shaping complex initiatives covering multiple business areas as well as having a key responsibility in corporate governance.

Role Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the behaviours and mindset of an Executive Leader and have:
- Significant demonstrated experience in providing high-level strategic leadership and direction for the delivery of services to support whole of agency objectives, ensuring alignment with government direction and legislation.
 
- High level of experience in dealing with and considering a large number of complex and competing priorities and making tactical and strategic decisions.
 
- Substantial experience in leading and developing high-performing teams and implementing strategies and initiatives to drive performance improvement.
 
- Ability to build and maintain high-level strategic relationships, including leveraging these to negotiate and influence for the purpose of resolving complex issues and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
 
- Demonstrated experience in leading and cultivating team environments to align with desired organisational values and culture.
