The Role
Dalkeith PS is looking to add Music as a specialist area in our school for 2026.
The role ideally requires teachers who exhibit contemporary pedagogical approaches aligned with the Quality Teaching Strategy and Teaching for Impact framework. We are looking for applicants who ideally:
- Able to coach a school choir and organise external performances
- Models equity and excellence in all aspects of teaching
- Has a sound working knowledge of the music curriculum and be able to plan for Pre-Primary to Year 6 classes
- Has the capacity and enthusiasm to promote student engagement in a whole school music program
- Is committed to creating opportunities for students to showcase their strengths through in school and out of school performances that celebrate success
- Will contribute to raising the specialist area within the school

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
