
We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Goomalling PS is located in the Goomalling Shire, situated 136 kms northeast of Perth, Western Australia. Goomalling is historically known for wheat and sheep farming and is located 46 kms from Northam, the nearest major town. One third of the school population live on farms and commute daily on the school bus service.
We currently cater for 50 students from Kindergarten through to Year 6 with a focus on student centred learning. Our school operates three classes comprising of an Early Childhood Kindergarten/Pre-Primary/Year 1, Year 2/3/4, and Year 5/6. Our Kindergarten students attend three full days per week.

The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated educator to join our Kindergarten to Year 6 team. Suitable candidates will ideally bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong commitment to enhancing student outcomes through evidence-based practices, including whole-school approaches and explicit instruction.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
