The Role

Landsdale Gardens PS is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and committed upper primary teacher.

The successful applicant will ideally possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and be committed to supporting your students to achieve excellent educational outcomes. These skills will see you establish genuine, positive, and respectful relationships with the school community as we build and grow our unique, inclusive and high-performing school. In the context of a new school, successful applicants will ideally possess professional flexibility and the ability to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances.

In this role, you will ideally create a positive, inclusive and connected learning environment where all students have a strong sense of belonging. Your teaching and learning should be engaging, authentic and relevant, and centred on the needs of your students. The successful applicant will ideally be optimistic, caring and have a desire to see all students succeed. In addition, you should have the knowledge and skills to contribute to the establishment of an exceptional teaching and learning environment at Landsdale Gardens PS.

Within this learning environment you will ideally:

  • engage, challenge, and inspire all students
  • be focussed on the notion that every child can succeed
  • accommodate and support individual student needs, including high-achieving students, by differentiating teaching and learning
  • provide timely and specific feedback to students, and their parents, regarding their academic and social and emotional learning

Successful applicants will be required to promote, model and maintain high expectations and adhere to whole school approaches that are evidence based and supported by research. You will ideally be committed to reflective teaching, through active participation in a culture of professional growth, including coaching, classroom observation and feedback. Educators at Landsdale Gardens PS will adopt high impact teaching strategies and use ongoing formative assessment to provide feedback to students and measure their progress.
