The Role

Willetton SHS is looking to appoint a highly competent and dedicated Digital Technologies/Computing Teacher.

Applicants should be dedicated, dynamic and enthusiastic teachers with the ability to teach Digital Technologies across Years 7–12. The successful applicant should have the ability to teach General and Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) courses, including ATAR Computer Science, as well as the ability to deliver Certificate courses within Digital Technologies or a willingness to obtain the necessary qualifications to do so (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment). The ability to teach in other contexts within the Technologies learning area is also desirable.

Suitable applicants should be active contributors to Digital Technologies, they should strive to engage students with an interesting and challenging curriculum; preparing them for future pathways and careers in the digital world.

You should possess a sound understanding of the Digital Technologies courses, as well as the ability to use high impact learning strategies to successfully engage students. The ability to differentiate curriculum and implement innovative approaches to improve outcomes is a key element to this position. You will ideally build positive relationships with your students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students and utilise evidence-based decision-making skills within your practice.
