Tambrey Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an Early Childhood Education Teacher (Year One).

Location and Community
Tambrey PS is an Independent Public School, centrally located in the City of Karratha 1600km north-west of Perth. Our school is part of the Pilbara Education Region and has recently celebrated its 35th anniversary. The Pilbara has diverse cultural and environmental experiences from Exmouth to Broome to Tom Price.
Karratha offers a number of modern facilities and is one of the fastest growing towns in the north of Western Australia. Known as ‘Munjaree’- or the heart of the West Pilbara Coast - its size and central location make it the ideal base for exploring the natural delights of the area. Millstream- Chichester National Park, Karijini National Park, Dampier Archipelago, Point Samson Peninsula and the Burrup Peninsula and Murujuga National Park - Karratha is the home of boating, camping and fishing.
Iron ore can be found in equal measure in Karratha. Known for its iron ore operations, this is the gateway to the marine-life rich Dampier Archipelago, the world’s most prolific prehistoric rich engraving site, Karijini’s four-billion-year-old adventure playground and Millstream’s Chichester National Park. It’s also one of the few locations where you can witness the Staircase to the Moon. Karratha is a two-hour flight or a 16-hour road trip from Perth and a three-hour drive south of Port Hedland.
The Role
In collaboration with the Principal and members of the Executive Team, the successful applicant will ideally contribute to the implementation of the school’s business plan 2023 to 2027 and continue the work of the school’s long-term vision.The successful applicant should have the capacity to deliver high quality educational experiences that meet the needs of a diverse range of students implementing the WA Curriculum and Assessment Outline.
The successful applicant will ideally become part of a professional learning community culture with a growth mindset and be open to accessing instructional coaching and mentoring to maximise student outcomes with ongoing analysis of student performance data and evidence-based differentiated best practice. They should have an understanding of high impact educational strategies and the capacity to influence, facilitate and lead change to improve student outcomes.
We are seeking an applicant who possess strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills which will be used to develop and promote the school’s values, ethos and priorities across the school community. The successful applicant would build positive relationships with students and be passionate about creating positive futures for students. We are seeking an performance driven individual who will odeally utilise evidence based decision-making skills.
We highly value applicants who have experience delivering high quality programs and have a deep curriculum knowledge, with a particular focus on explicit instruction and a response-to-intervention model of instruction. A thorough understanding of Cultural Responsiveness and English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) processes would be an advantage. The ability to build positive relationships is highly regarded.
