
We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Leinster Community School (CS) is a level 4 school located in the Goldfields Education Region, approximately 370 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie. It is a community school catering to students in Kindergarten to year 12. Year 7 to 12 students receive a combination of face-to-face teaching and access to the school of Isolated and Distance Education. Currently there are 60 students enrolled at the school. Leinster is a 'closed' mining town unique to the Western Australian mining community.

The Role

Teachers and School Administrators employed at Leinster Community School in 2025 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $5 000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment.
The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.

Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south west teachers
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3-year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3-year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role, or transfer permanently into this school.
