The Role
Join our team as a Gardener/Handyperson and contribute to fostering an attractive, safe and positive learning environment. As a key member of our team, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the school grounds, ensuring they are safe, tidy, and conducive to providing a positive environment for both students and staff. This role supports our cleaning staff in ensuring the school environment is safe, clean and maintained always. You’ll use your handyperson skills across our site undertaking maintenance and minor repairs as required as well as other gardener/handyperson duties in accordance with the Departments policy and guidelines.
Duties may include such tasks as blowing/cleaning, whipper snipping, mowing, weeding, pruning, watering, line marking and more as part of your role in overseeing the turf areas, garden beds, and shrubs and managing hard landscaping features like courts and paving. You’ll play a vital role in creating an inviting and inspiring outdoor space.
There will be flexible working arrangements available for the successful applicant as well as potential for an FTE up to 0.6. This position would suit a Gardener employed across mutliple schools.
