Your new role
Bring your skills,
experience, and talent to Health Support Services (HSS) as a
Program Accountant.
We are seeking a proactive,
analytical, and customer-focused finance professional to support
high-risk, high-value projects that contribute to the delivery of
world-class health care across Western Australia. This is an
exciting opportunity to apply your project accounting expertise in
a complex and evolving program environment.
As a trusted advisor, you will play a
critical role in ensuring financial integrity and delivering
actionable insights by:
- Leading financial planning, reporting and governance
activities for complex programs and projects.
- Providing strategic advice and analysis on financial
performance, FTE targets and budget forecasts to executive
stakeholders.
- Managing operational and capital expenditure and supporting
benefits realisation tracking for program outcomes.
- Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to
ensure compliance with financial policies and legislative
frameworks, including the Financial Management Act, AASB
standards and Treasurer’s Instructions.
What we’re looking for:
- Substantial experience in financial management and
accounting within complex, high-value programs or
projects.
- Strong understanding of the Financial Management Act,
Treasurer’s Instructions, Australian Accounting
Standards, and other relevant legislative frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality financial
advice and reporting in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability
to develop and interpret complex financial models and
reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the
ability to engage effectively with stakeholders across all
levels.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach with strong
project coordination skills.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed
Term, Full Time appointments until 30th June 2026 with the
possibility of extensions and/or permanency.
