The Role

The Laboratory Technician will ideally organise preparation areas and classroom laboratories to ensure a safe learning environment for students and staff and undertake general housekeeping of chemicals, equipment (including repairs and maintenance), ordering supplies/equipment and assisting with stock management tasks. Your practical knowledge, attention to detail and collaborative approach will help ensure the science learning area operates smoothly and safely to support engaging classroom experiences.

We will consider a job share arrangement if we are unable to fill this position full-time and encourage job seekers looking for part-time work to apply.

    • Demonstrated good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and ability to work independently.
    • Demonstrated well developed keyboarding and computer skills including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
