Yanchep Rise Primary School (PS) is a modern public school located at 110 Moorpark Avenue in Yanchep. Officially opened in February 2021, the school was established to support the growing local community and to alleviate enrolment pressure on surrounding schools. It caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 6, providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is supported to grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

The Role
We seek enthusiastic team members who show initiative in adapting tasks to meet student needs, who continually reflect on their practice and who are open to being observed and receiving feedback to guide their professional growth. Ideally, you will contribute advice and expertise; collaborating with staff to support and monitor student progress.
The role of the Education Assistant - Lead is to lead, mentor, coach, and model good practices for other Education Assistants. The ability to provide Professional Learning to staff is highly important. The successful applicant should operate collaboratively and be able to build and maintain effective team-based relationships. The successful applicant will ideally be highly professional, organised and display excellent communication skills, drawing on these attributes when working with staff and the school community.
It is desirable that the successful applicant contributes to the design and implementation of documented plans and provide solutions and support to teachers and education assistants, which promote positive student behaviour and improved educational outcomes in the classroom. Ideally, the successful applicant will be able to perform tasks which require discretion in problem solving, decision making and choosing methods and processes to achieve outcomes. It is highly desirable for the successful applicant to have experience in dealing with students with a range of learning needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and severe mental health diagnoses.
A displayed knowledge and understanding of our school vision and Business Plan is desirable. We have developed whole school approaches to student engagement through Positive Behaviour Support and an embedded application of our school values of Respect, Integrity, Safety, Excellence and Resilience. It is expected that staff joining our team will become RISERs. Applicants who are experienced in effective use of Classroom Management Strategies and Trauma Informed Practices would be desirable.

- Demonstrated well developed written communication skills, including report writing, and the ability to coordinate, collect and present student data at a whole school community level in a meaningful way.
- Demonstrated well developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate staff rosters and relief to assist in the delivery of effective education programs.
