
Champion Bay Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Student Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
We are a community, and like any community we have a range of services in place to ensure our students are happy, healthy, feel safe and able to learn effectively. As a Student Support Officer, you will also be responsible for developing intervention strategies which provide a responsive and effective support system for students, including developing preventative programs.
Student Support Officers are responsible for assisting with administration tasks, liaise between students, family and the school and as such, knowledge of the youth sector and associated agencies is desirable. Suitable applicants will also ideally have the ability to communicate effectively (written & oral) with all stakeholders and have exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to develop positive partnerships with students, staff and wider community.
