We are seeking to establish a pool of Lead Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026 Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

The Lead Special Needs Education Assistant is responsible for mentoring, coaching, and modelling best practices for other Education Assistants within our specialised programs. This includes planning and delivering induction and training, conducting classroom observations, and providing performance feedback to the Administration Team.

The Lead Education Assistant will work with other Education Assistants to develop strategies that enhance student care and educational programs. They are also responsible for coordinating and collecting school-wide data.

As needed, the Lead Special Needs Education Assistant will perform the duties of an Education Assistant (Special Needs) Level 3, as outlined in the job description form, including Schedule A.

    • Demonstrated well developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate staff rosters and relief to assist in the delivery of effective education programs.
