School Curriculum and Standards are seeking to establish a pool of Customer Service Assistant for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of August 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School Curriculum and Standards Division (the Division) provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of, the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum and ensures assessment standards to enable all students being taught the Western Australian Curriculum to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.

The Role

We are looking for motivated and customer-focused team players to join our division. This is a vital, hands-on role where you will be the first point of contact for the community, providing helpful advice and support to schools, teachers, students, and the public. You will manage our central phoneline, receiving incoming calls and confidently working with callers to understand their issues and connect them to the right team, as well as greeting visitors and handling in-person enquiries.

Your days will hold varied tasks, from helping members of the public access copies of their personal academic certificates; to managing the servicing and availability of our small car fleet and coordinating building management and facilities matters; to keeping our financial systems running smoothly by managing payments and taking care of weekly banking; to providing support to the Office of the Executive Director by performing tasks such as preparing correspondence and maintaining excellent record-keeping in our records management system.
