We are seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Bletchley Park Primary School (PS) is a large level 6 school with approximately 700 students. We frequently out perform like Schools in National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) and consistently perform above NAPLAN state averages. We have approximately 90 dedicated and caring staff who work in unison to meet the needs of all students academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As an Education Assistant - Special Needs you will, under teacher direction, assist in the education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Suitable applicants will assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs to assist students to reach their full potential through the development of their academic, social, emotional, and physical skills. Experience working with students with high needs is highly desired. Competency in the use of a range of technology tools, such as computers and electronic devices is ideal. Also, when required, Special Needs Education Assistants will provide feedback on education programs and participate in the evaluation process relating to the achievement of goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist teachers or therapists in implementing educational programs, including special education and, should this be a requirement of the position, occupational and/or physiotherapy programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with general health and well-being of students
