Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
Professional Capability drives the ongoing development of our workforce. Its purpose is to build professional capability to improve student achievement by enabling teaching and leadership excellence.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed senior consultant to work within a team to assist with transformation of system strategies and priorities into practical supports for schools that improve the teaching and learning outcomes of students with disability and diverse learning needs.
We are looking for individuals who have a strong understanding of disability and inclusion directions and initiatives, alongside a deep connection and commitment to schools and the people in them. Our ideal candidate will be someone who understands the supports required for students with disability to participate in the full school experience and achieve success. A key component of the role is supporting schools to understand and navigate the processes through which resources are allocated, including the allocation of resources to schools through the Individual Disability Allocation.
As a Senior Consultant Professional Capability, you will contribute to and support the development and implementation of system strategies and priorities to improve achievement and outcomes for students, such as those with disability and additional learning needs. This includes undertaking research, reviewing contemporary practices, developing resource methodologies and contributing to capacity building initiatives for schools.
You may contribute to the development of system responses to State and Commonwealth initiatives related to students with disability, and consult with relevant stakeholders to integrate service, support and advice to schools and the system.
