ICT Service – Corporate are seeking to establish a pool of Systems Support Officers HR for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2025 and up to the end of June 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Delivery of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services provides support for the Department’s educational outcomes by developing initiatives and technical support strategies to ensure all 800 Western Australian public schools can be individual, distinctive and responsive to their local communities while still benefiting from being part of a system.

The ICT Operations and Customer Service is part of the ICT Division and is the primary entry point to ICT for any responses top operational issues, requests or problems customers of ICT may have. As the highest frequency contact point for customers in many respects it is the ‘face’ of ICT.

The Role

The Systems Support Officer (HR) provides specialist support in the administration and optimisation of Human Resource Management Information Systems (HRMIS). The role involves monitoring system access, scheduling and delivering a high level of customer service to resolve issues.

Key responsibilities include system administration, access control, user support and research into HRMIS transactions. The officer works closely with internal teams and external providers to resolve operational matters and improve system processes, including the development of standard procedures and protocols.

The position supports communication initiatives such as maintaining, updating and creating HRMIS how to and instructions, contributes to system upgrades and enhancements. It also provides advice and reporting solutions to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with HR legislation and policies.

This role is integral to promoting customer service excellence, continuous improvement and effective stakeholder engagement. It may also involve representing the Directorate on relevant committees and working groups.
