The Role
Rockingham SHS is seeking a motivated and reliable Cleaner in Charge to lead and supervise our enthusiastic cleaning team. The ideal applicant should display strong leadership and communication skills, with a proactive and team-oriented approach.
Key responsibilities include opening and locking the school premises, managing staff rosters and leave, and inducting new team members. You will be responsible for ordering cleaning supplies, monitoring the allocated budget, and ensuring all work meets Department of Education standards.
In addition to supervisory duties, the successful applicant will perform regular hands-on cleaning tasks and safely manage hazardous substances in accordance with Work, Health & Safety (WHS) legislation, with guidance and support from the Manager Corporate Services.
This position requires the successful applicant to work a split shift from 4.30am – 8.30am and then 1.45pm – 5.45pm Monday to Friday.
