This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025

Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25 kilometers south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and will form part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. Piara Waters SHS commenced with Year 7 students in 2023, and will add each year to its growing cohort, until it reaches Year 12 in 2028.

The Role

The successful applicant will ideally have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Health and Physical Education Curriculum and proven ability to teach across Years 7 to 12. You should promote active learning and provide engaging learning activities which facilitate students at all levels achieving their potential.

We are looking for dynamic, adaptable and collaborative individuals who are committed to working effectively as part of a team. The successful applicant will ideally be student focused, participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities and continually reflect on their own teaching practice to enhance student engagement and achievement of outcomes.

You should be innovative, knowledgeable and possess a thorough understanding of instructional and curriculum expertise whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments within the Learning Area. As a new and growing school, the flexibility to teach outside of learning area is desirable and the attributes of flexibility and adaptability are valued.
