Onslow School is part of the Remote Teaching Service which provides unique and diverse experiences at a personal and professional level. The school caters for Kindy to Year 12 students with a current enrolment of 174 students. Onslow is a coastal town in the West Pilbara Region of Western Australia about 300km southwest of Karratha.

The Role

Onslow School is seeking to strengthen its middle leadership team with the recruitment of a Program Coordinator – Curriculum.

As the Program Coordinator – Curriculum, you will work alongside the Principal to lead the focus area of Excellence in Teaching and Leadership priority within the Onslow School Business Plan.

This position requires instructional leadership, an ability to establish productive working relationships across both primary and secondary settings and an appreciation of the complexity of working in a small school setting. As the successful applicant, you will ideally demonstrate flexibility and an adaptability within the role to meet the needs of the school.

As the Program Coordinator – Curriculum you will also have the opportunity to –

  • Align whole school scope and sequence documents with WA curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with other middle leaders and class teachers in the refinement of academic monitoring, planning and assessment
  • Establish and manage administrative and operational systems that are relevant to delegated role and level of responsibility
  • Lead the implementation of Onslow School’s whole-school instructional model associated with English and Mathematics.
