The Role

Mainstream Education Assistants assist teachers in the delivery of planned educational programs and fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment. This role involves working under direct supervision of classroom teachers to perform routine tasks using established procedures and methods.

This position focuses on working predominantly with Year 7 students who present with low literacy and numeracy skills, providing tailored support to help them engage with learning activities and build foundational academic competencies. The successful applicant should be able to build strong, trusting relationships with students, using patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement to encourage participation and persistence.
