The Role
Eastern Hills SHS is seeking a Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teacher to join their friendly team. This position will also have a portion of the FTE working in the Arts; significant support will be provided to the successful applicant.
As the successful applicant, you will ideally be an innovative and highly motivated educator with the ability to provide quality teaching in the HASS curriculum area as part of a dedicated team. You should have a passion for HASS and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process.
You will ideally be a reflective practitioner who actively engages in activities to improve your professional practice. The successful applicant for this position should be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments. You should display the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school HASS curriculum.
We are seeking applicants who are innovative and display high quality teaching skills and knowledge. You will ideally be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and be collegial, effective collaborators. It is highly desirable that applicants are committed to developing positive relationships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.
