We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
A strong sense of community exists within our school community and the relationships between children, parents and staff are based on care, mutual respect, and open communication in a safe and supportive environment. Our P&C (Parents and Citizens) Association contributes greatly to the development of our school in both spirit and resources and our School Board is an important and valued decision-making group in our school.
Find out more about our school by visiting Forest Crescent PS or Schools Online.
The Role
As School Officer, you will assist school management in ensuring internal and external school communication activities are coordinated effectively while maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. You will also support student related activities, such as maintaining student attendance records, generating routine reports and correspondence related to absenteeism, assisting with student enrolment procedures as well as assist with the induction and support of administrative school support staff.
In addition, School Officers will assist with the smooth financial operation of the school. This includes tasks such as undertaking account and GST coding, reconciling financial records and processing invoices. School Officers also assist with month-end procedures such as transporting receipts to the bank and maintaining data integrity.
While not an essential role, it would be valued for the School Officers to have the skills and capacity to support Marketing and Media functions - such as promoting school events and activities through the newsletter and website, and assisting with the creation and preparation of school materials for publication.
