East Victoria Park PS is a level 5 Independent Public School located on the corner of Mint St and Beatty Ave which offers two Kindergarten, two Pre-primary and 10 Year 1 to Year 6 classes. Our well-resourced facilities include connected classrooms, music room, iCentre, general multi-purpose room, science room and covered assembly area, all set on extensive and attractive grounds.

The Role

East Victoria Park PS is seeking a motivated School Officer to join their team.

As a School Officer, you will be the first point of contact for our school. Ideally, you will be experienced, have a friendly, positive, and caring attitude; be self-motivated and organised. The successful applicant will work as part of the office team in a busy school environment. You should be an efficient, innovative, and enthusiastic team member able to work within a shared office, both collaboratively and independently, with minimal supervision. You will possess the flexibility to move between tasks and be calm under pressure.

Along with management of enquires, student enrolments and maintenance of student records, School Officers work collaboratively with the Manager Corporate Services, administrative staff, and the wider school community to support and administer the schools financial and physical resources. Responsibilities in these roles will include assisting with financial processes, recording of assets and resources, human resources support and administrative functions related to buildings and grounds. You will also assist other school staff with administration support as required.

As School Officer, you will manage and administer the operation of school databases, records and management information systems, the school website, social media, and parent communication. Experience in operating a range of software packages, particularly databases and word processing and a knowledge of the Student Information System (SIS), Compass,  RM Finance and RM Billing would be desirable. A positive approach to the role and readiness to learn new skills and contribute to the efficient running of the school office is highly desirable.
