The Role
As a Drama teacher at Woodvale, you will ideally:
- Work as an integral member of the Arts team, contributing to curriculum planning and delivery.
- Design and implement engaging learning programs that meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Use a range of evidence-based instructional strategies to maximise student engagement and achievement.
- Model high-quality teaching practices and support a collaborative team culture.
The ideal candidate will ideally:
- Have a strong knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, particularly in Senior School Drama courses.
- Possess a deep understanding of contemporary Drama practices, and be able to support students in developing performance and critical analysis skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver content in an engaging and inclusive manner.
- Be a reflective practitioner with effective data literacy, using student performance data to inform and adjust teaching.
- Be confident in integrating ICT into teaching, using technology to enhance student learning in and beyond the classroom.
Additional opportunities include:
- Playing a lead role in the planning and production of a whole-college musical in 2026.
- Contributing to Wondervale, our annual Arts showcase, by presenting student work from Drama classes.
