We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students to enhance their engagement with planned education programs, promoting and developing a growth mindset. In this role, you will actively contribute to our collaborative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses facilitating and supporting the implementation of individual or small group programs. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills is vital to interact with students, parents, and teaching professionals. This includes conveying instructions, providing feedback, and collaborating with other educational staff to create a supportive learning environment. Ideally, the successful applicant should show initiative in assisting with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment and to be responsive to teacher direction to promote a learning environment that reflects the school's values of Responsibility, Respect, Equity, Inclusivity, Achievement, and Empowerment. Additionally, you will promote and support positive student engagement and wellbeing in accordance with school policies and programs.
