About the team/business unit

Location Services provides trusted location data and spatial services to support the management and development of Western Australia to benefit the community. Geospatial creates and maintains the State's foundational location information and delivers spatial services and data to customers.

 

About the role

Landgate is seeking a leader with skills and experience in managing a large specialist team, who is adaptable and accountable, and tackles challenges to benefit individual and team success.

The Manager Land Definition is responsible for the overall management of a Geospatial team and ensuring delivery of Location Services functions including:

  • geographic names and addressing database maintenance.
  • statutory plans, technical descriptions and graphics production.
  • supporting research and development for Landgate spatial systems and web technologies relevant to online spatial data services and applications

In this role you will:

  • Manage resources to ensure they are used effectively and efficiently to deliver services.
  • Ensure stakeholder needs are met and supported by the team.
  • Develop specialist, professional and/or technical expertise within the team.
  • Create team objectives and goals to deliver on corporate initiatives.
  • Have responsibility for the delivery of outcomes in the section.
