This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP
Delivery of Information, Communications and Technologies (ICT) services provides support for the Department’s educational outcomes by developing initiatives and technical support strategies to ensure all 800 Western Australian public schools can be individual, distinctive and responsive to their local communities while still benefiting from being part of a system.
ICT Governance and Planning is the primary entry point to ICT for any new significant effort, project, planning or major change initiative and the ICT Project Office has responsibility for the process and management of ICT projects.
The Role
The Senior Project Officer will coordinate, undertake, implement and/or manage ICT initiatives, technical support and projects. They will conduct ICT project and program Health Checks, review and analyse Checks against Department objectives, ICT Project Office policies and guidelines, and project outcomes.
If successful, you will maintain the operational aspects of corporate and information systems, including the development of system-wide policies, practices, standards, methodologies and guidelines. You will be required to coordinate implementation of project related software across the Department as required, including the development of relevant communication strategies.
