The Role
Our dedicated Senior Gardener/Handypersons and/or Gardeners promote a safe, attractive, and inspiring outdoor environment for our students. Suitable applicants will ideally ensure that our school grounds remain safe, tidy and visually appealing. They will ideally play a crucial role in maintaining outdoor spaces for our students to learn, explore and grow and supporting student programs such as recycling, gardening and containers for change. Experience in maintaining equipment, storing gardening materials and chemicals, relocating furniture as well as performing minor repairs will be advantageous.
You may be considered for the following positions
Level 1 – Assistant Gardener/Handyperson
Level 2 – Gardener/Handyperson
Level 5 – Senior Gardener/Handyperson

Assistant Gardener – Handyperson (Level 1)
- Ability to assist in maintaining both soft and hard landscaped areas.
Gardener – Handyperson (Level 2)
- Ability or experience in maintaining grounds and gardens, including turf management.
Senior Gardener – Handyperson (Level 5)
- Ability or experience in servicing horticultural/gardening equipment and performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of gardening methods and procedures or the ability to assist, including the safe use and storage of gardening equipment, materials and chemicals.
Shortlisted applicants will have their skills and experiences assessed in relation to the remaining selection criteria; Level 1, Level 2 or level 5 in the later stages of the recruitment process.
As part of this merit process, the panel will consider the statement of claims, CV, and referee reports.
