The Role

Byford Secondary College (SC) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated Student Support Officer.

The role of Student Support Officer will assist in the delivery of the intervention programs to support student wellbeing and development. The Student Support Officer will ideally need to possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. They will be required to facilitate our check-in process in Student Services as well as running identified programs and maintaining comprehensive records. A collaborative and consultative approach is highly desirable to work within a well resourced and experienced student focused team. Prior experience supporting students through mentoring, mediation, counselling, school engagement, assessing levels of risk, interagency links and case management will be considered favourably.

The successful applicant will ideally cultivate a safe and accountable environment, underpinning Byford SC’s core values. You will ideally work collaboratively with all members of the school and wider community to provide quality experiences through promoting the school’s vision and strategic directions.
