Senior Spatial Pool
Salary: PSCSA Level 4 $95, 782 - $100, 526 L5 $105, 167 - $114, 938 p.a + 11.5% superannuation

This is a Permanent Full-Time position, however Part Time arrangements may be considered. 

Spatial Cadastre Pool: Landgate has an immediate vacancy for L4 Senior Spatial Officers and L5 Spatial Consultants. We encourage suitably skilled and knowledgeable people to apply for this pool.

About the roles
Senior Spatial Officers and Spatial Consultants in the Land Boundaries team apply their knowledge to maintain the Spatial Cadastral Database (SCDB) for the benefit of all users. The team takes a collaborative approach to uplift spatial cadastral data to support the transition to future 3D/4D foundation spatial data.

The responsibilities of these roles in the Spatial Cadastre team include:

  • create, process and maintain spatial cadastral data in relevant systems and databases
  • interpret, analyse and evaluate source spatial data and associated information
  • undertake data processing, including revision, reformatting, enhancement and attribution
  • lodge and integrate new surveys and link these surveys to the control network
  • investigate and resolves anomalies in boundary data and associated attribute data

Role Requirements
To be successful for the Senior Spatial Officer L4 role, please demonstrate your:

  • knowledge and understanding of spatial data with the ability to collect, capture, analyse, manipulate and present spatial data and mapping information in a GIS and/or CAD environment.
  • skills and knowledge in interpreting, analysing and evaluating spatial data.
  • effective communication skills and the ability to facilitate solutions with various stakeholders.
  • ability to deliver high quality and timely outcomes, prioritising workloads in a team environment

To be considered for the Spatial Consultant L5 role, please demonstrate your:

  • high-level knowledge and understanding of complex spatial data with the ability to collect, capture, analyse, manipulate and present spatial data and mapping information in a GIS and/or CAD environment.
  • ability and experience with investigating and resolving complex data anomalies. (Experience with land development or cadastral systems is highly desirable.)
  • effective communication skills and the ability to facilitate solutions with various stakeholders.
  • ability to deliver high quality and timely outcomes, prioritising workloads in a team environment
  • collaboration and coaching experience within a technical based environment.

Vacancies may be offered on a permanent or fixed term basis for the next 12 months. If a similar vacancy in a similar location becomes available in this time, applicants deemed suitable may be considered.
