About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for fostering a positive school culture that promotes respectful relationships between students, and between students and staff. They will also engage parents and caregivers as partners in the school community, ensuring their voices are reflected in the school’s strategic direction and actions in delivering education and training for the K–12 student cohort.
The principal will lead the implementation of the Kimberley Schools Project across its four pillars: targeted teaching, early years, attendance, and community engagement. This is to ensure students have the best possible start to formal schooling through the Early Years Initiative.
The role requires a strong understanding of the secondary curriculum to ensure students have clear educational and training pathways to graduation. The principal will work in partnership with training providers to support meaningful engagement in employment opportunities within Kalumburu and beyond.
The principal will demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous school improvement and collaborate with the East Kimberley Principal Network, Kununurra Education Regional Office (KERO), external agencies, and East Kimberley Empowered Communities. Together, they will implement network priorities and place-based services within the Kalumburu community to support and enhance school programs.
