The Role
We are seeking a primary teacher (0.6FTE, Wednesday to Friday) who is motivated, innovative, and possesses high quality teaching skills. Ideally, they will be committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole-school processes, and participate in collaborative planning and instructional coaching.
We seek a teacher who will inspire students to develop an enthusiasm for learning in vibrant, engaging, and supportive classrooms. The successful applicant will ideally possess the ability to build strong and valuable relationships with students, staff, and the school community. They will ideally exhibit proactive strategies to support and improve student behaviour and engagement, to enable positive outcomes in and out of the classroom.
The successful applicant should be able to display how they have employed evidence-based teaching practices to significantly improve student outcomes. This should include the use of explicit instruction, and the ability to transfer knowledge from short to long-term memory through effective teaching.
Applicants possessing a strong capacity to plan, present and assess differentiated, challenging and engaging programs, will be highly regarded. Furthermore, they should ideally, be able to display how they have used data-informed practice to improve academic and socio-emotional student outcomes.
