The Role
Harvey PS is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our high-performing regional school community.
We’re looking for an educator with outstanding interpersonal skills—someone who communicates effectively and builds authentic, respectful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You will be confident in quickly establishing a positive, inclusive classroom culture where high expectations, a growth mindset, and student wellbeing are prioritised.
The ideal candidate should be an exemplary practitioner, motivated to deliver evidence-based teaching practices and committed to ongoing professional growth. They will thrive in a collaborative environment where whole-school connected practice and team-based planning drive success.
In this role, you'll be expected to use high-impact teaching strategies and demonstrate experience in developing engaging literacy and numeracy programs. A sound understanding of differentiation and the ability to use a range of assessment tools to monitor student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and inform planning is highly valued.
For the remainder of this year, the successful applicant will teach a Year 4/5 class. In 2026, the role is likely to transition to a junior primary class.
At Harvey PS, we implement programs including Trek Maths, Heggerty, UFLI, Sound Waves, and Talk for Writing. While prior knowledge of these is desirable, it is not essential.
