This is a Permanent, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2025.

The Role

Teachers at all stages of their career are encouraged to apply including new graduates. Successful candidates will ideally specialise in Digital Technologies and should display the professional knowledge, understanding and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school 7 to 12 Digital Technologies curriculum to reflect current Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) innovations. Experience in teaching Year 11 and 12 Computer Science (General & ATAR) would be highly desirable.

A broad skill set, and knowledge in areas such as Cybersecurity, Gaming, Artificial Intelligence and Python programming language would be desirable. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be beneficial but not essential to this role.

Suitable applicants should be highly committed, collaborative and possess a strong ability to work in a team. Duncraig SHS has a significant focus on the quality of teaching and learning that takes place with a particular focus on maximising student engagement and learning outcomes. Duncraig SHS operates a 1:1 personal ICT device policy that is firmly embedded across all Learning Areas. A familiarity with SEQTA would be well regarded as this is the online learning management system, which is used extensively at Duncraig SHS.
