The Role
The successful applicant will assist with administrative and practical processes that ensure a responsive and effective student support service. As part of a collaborative team, the successful applicant will work productively with students, staff, parents/caregivers, and external agencies to plan and implement support and intervention strategies to improve academic and non-academic outcomes for students. This will focus on positive Tier 1 supports in and around the school.
A knowledge of evidence-based practices that improve student attendance, behaviour, and engagement outcomes at school, along with experience working with vulnerable and/or disengaged young people, will be highly desirable. The successful applicant should also have the capacity to use available data and other information to identify students who require additional support, monitor students’ progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of planned support and intervention strategies in improving targeted outcomes.
