We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

Mainstream Education Assistants work in collaboration with school staff to promote an inclusive learning environment that caters for students with diverse needs. Education Assistants will ideally possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. You will be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment.

Suitable applicants will ideally be flexible, highly collaborative, and willing to share their skills and expertise. Working under teacher direction you will also provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority. Managing student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs is an important aspect of this role.
