This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP

The Infrastructure Division has responsibility for the provision of facilities (land, buildings and equipment,) which include demographic forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, capital works programs and the maintenance and minor works programs.

The Infrastructure Strategy and Planning Directorate is responsible for longer-term strategic planning of land and building infrastructure, preparation of capital funding proposals, providing statistical and demographic planning, developing asset management and sustainability strategy and policy, land planning, undertaking land acquisition and managing the Department's land estate.

The Role

To be successful in this role, you will coordinate strategic planning and administration of the Department’s Crown land portfolio and assist with identification of future land needs, ensuring procedures are in place to protect the land identified. You will represent the Department in all Crown land matters and key stakeholder engagement including Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage and Landgate, where required.

As the Principal Consultant Land, you will coordinate the Department’s land and property portfolio within expected timeframes and in line with audit requirements. Within this role, you will manage the Department’s school naming policy, school crossings, clearances in relation to native title, heritage (cultural and building) and environmental issues.

As a line manager, the position is responsible for creating a work environment that is safe and supportive for all staff members and facilitates the accomplishment of agreed outcomes.
