Broome Residential College is located at the end of Kerr Street, in a safe and secure setting behind Broome Senior High School and close to St Mary’s Catholic College. The College provides boarding accommodation for secondary students from Years 7 to 12 who study in Broome.
We provide a culturally safe and reassuring place where every student has many opportunities to grow and become proud individuals who will be supported by caring and dedicated staff at the residential college while they are away from home.
The Role
As a School Officer you will be responsible for helping the Manager Corporate Services with administering the financial resources of the school including undertaking account and GST coding, reconciliations, invoice processing and BAS/FREDA returns. The School Officer also assists with Abstudy Travel and Payments, Enrolments, month-end procedures, including transporting receipts to the bank and ensuring data integrity as well as collating figures for financial planning and budgeting
To be successful in this role, you will help with the management of school assets, including assistance with the administration of out-of-hours use of school facilities, coordinating and negotiating maintenance and repairs and maintaining key registers and security system codes. Other tasks may include assisting with the induction and support of administrative school support staff development of induction programs and materials for school support staff, and the coordination of relief.
