West Byford Primary School (PS) is a thriving Level 6 school that opened in February 2013. Located on Kardan Boulevard in Byford, approximately 41 kilometres south of Perth, the school sits within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale. Byford is a rapidly growing community, home to a diverse mix of young families and long-established residents.

The Role

West Byford PS is seeking a motivated and collaborative School Psychologist to join our friendly and dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling them to work effectively with our leadership team, staff, students, and parents. A positive, approachable demeanour and a commitment to building strong relationships are essential for success in this role.

The successful applicant will work closely with staff to implement effective strategies that address identified learning, social, and behavioural needs. They will provide individual support to students at risk and work strategically with school leaders to ensure a cohesive, whole-school approach to intervention. Additionally, the School Psychologist will assist in the development and delivery of school-based support services and programs, contributing as an integral member of our coordinated Student Services team.

  5. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
