The Role
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and reliable person to join our school as a School Officer. This key role supports the smooth day-to-day running of the school by assisting staff, students, and families with a wide range of administrative and office tasks.
The suitable applicants will ideally be the welcoming face of the school, greeting visitors, answering phones, and responding to enquiries in a helpful and professional manner. They will ideally prepare letters, newsletters, and school notices, handle incoming and outgoing mail, maintain accurate records, and manage data entry in school systems. The role also includes collecting payments, processing invoices, and assisting with budgeting and financial reporting.
Other responsibilities include ordering office supplies, organising catering for school events, and helping to maintain school facilities and resources. The School Officer will ideally also assist with student enrolments, record attendance, and manage other student-related administration. Supporting staff is also an important part of the role, including maintaining staff records. In addition, the role involves updating and managing the school’s social media platforms to support communication with the school community.
We are looking for someone who can maintain confidentiality, build strong relationships within the school community, and work confidently with school systems and procedures. This is a varied and rewarding position for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and making a positive contribution to a school environment.

- Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
