This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2025

Caversham Valley Primary School (CVPS) opened in 2020 as an Independent Public School and has since grown to approximately 700 students from many different cultural and language backgrounds. With more houses in the suburb still to be built, it is likely the school enrolment will continue to increase in the immediate future.

The Role

The Successful applicant will carry out internal cleaning duties, in accordance with the Department’s procedures. The duties include the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal and other items of general cleaning.

In addition to this, the successful applicant will also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs, other general cleaning and other such duties as required by the Cleaner in Charge. Vacation cleaning duties will ideally include shampooing carpets and pressure cleaning various areas.

To be suitable for this role you will ideally have good attention to detail and be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. You will ideally be organised, honest, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices.
