
We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant – Lead for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
The role of the Education Assistant - Lead is to lead, mentor, coach, and model good practices for other Education Assistants. You will ideally be an important and valued leader supporting the Manager Corporate Services and Deputy Principals in leading, growing and managing the Education Assistant workforce.
You should have a high level of interpersonal and relational skills and work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of all our students. Applicants will ideally possess the knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of disabilities, learning difficulties and complex behaviours. The successful applicant will ideally demonstrate their ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting. Beeliar PS adopts an inclusive educational model to support all students to achieve their potential.
Beeliar PS, through our distributed leadership model, fosters and promotes leadership opportunities or both teaching and non-teaching staff. The successful applicant will work as part of the Student Services team and lead the Allied Professional team. This team work together to support all students at our school through a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) approach.

- Demonstrated well developed oral communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead, mentor, coach, induct and train other Education Assistants and professional teams, including providing advice and evaluating education programs.
- Demonstrated well developed written communication skills, including report writing, and the ability to coordinate, collect and present student data at a whole school community level in a meaningful way.
- Demonstrated well developed organisational skills, including the ability to coordinate staff rosters and relief to assist in the delivery of effective education programs.
