La Grange Remote Community School (RCS) is located in the Kimberley region, around 180km south of Broome in the community of Bidyadanga. As a Kindergarten to Year 12 school, we have a current enrolment of 197 with 97% indigenous students. At La Grange RCS, our mission is to give all our students the opportunity to learn the essential knowledge and skills for successful lives.
Bidyadanga is a welcoming and safe community on the coast south of Broome. As a relatively large indigenous community, we enjoy access to services including a store, health clinic, pool, police station, family centre and art centre.

The Role
As an on-site, remote Manager of Corporate Services (MCS), this dynamic role requires adaptability and the ability to effectively address challenges as they arise. The MCS’ central responsibility is to provide comprehensive oversight of the school’s critical components, namely financial, physical and human resources. As the line manager of all school support staff, knowledge of and adherence to the Cultural Standards Framework will be highly regarded. The successful applicant may be required to chair the Cultural Leadership Team, and also co-chair finance committee and School Board meetings with the Principal. Your adept management ensures that the school’s financial operations adhere to established standards and contribute to the overall success of the institution.
Competence in Department of Education systems such as Schools Resourcing (SRS), HRMIS, RM Finance and RAMS will be highly regarded but aspirant School Officers with some experience are encouraged to apply.
A core aspect of a MCS is to provide strategic advice and planning regarding schools resourcing, staffing and the school budget. You will manage these in relation to the School Strategic Plan to maintain the fiscal health of the school. You will be a member of the Leadership and Administrative Team, with broad input into the cultural responsibilities and community partnerships of the school and broader community.
